Things to Do and Places to Visit: War Remnants Museum - Constantly popular with tourists as it conveys the brutal effects of war on its civilian victims so powerfully, making it an iconic place to visit.

Giac Lam Pagoda - Believed to be the oldest temple, it's atmospheric place set in a peaceful garden. The temple name meaning 'Feel the Woods' and the looming Bodhi tree was a gift from a Sri Lankan monk in 1953.

Place To Eat and What to Try:
Com Nieu Sai Gon - It's name "the one place visitors shouldn't miss!" It's truly diverse and cultural experience. You can experience the street food but in an amazing and exquisite location with stunning views. Would recommend ordering the com dap with nuoc mam and the seafood pan-fried noodles!

Food to Try:
Banh Mi - You've probably eaten heaps of them at your own countries, but you have to try the original place it came from! The perfect blend of bread, meats, mayonnaise, carrot pickles, cucumbers and some chilli if you're feeling brave!

Things to Look out For:
Theft - Theft is common in most tourist areas, markets and public places. Pay attention to all your belongings at all times!

Traffic: Traffic can be quite full on and heavy. Be careful when driving cars or trying to cross roads.

The Place to Stay:
The Himalaya Phoenix Saigon Hostel - One of the best hostels in the entire city, super trendy and convenient. Only 5 mins away from all popular destinations making it cheap and fun!

Airfare:
Flight to Ho Chi Minh City from Sydney for one Adult as of 17th September is roughly: $900 direct (studentflights.com.au)

Overall Opinion:
You must visit Ho Chi Minh City for adventure, fun and amazing food!
4.5/5
