Image result for fiji

Introduction:

Welcome to our post on Fiji, the tropical-island paradise of your dreams. In Fiji they welcome you by saying "Bula!" which simply means "hello" and is the perfect way to invite visitors into the Fijian environment. The archipelago that is Fiji is made up of more than 300 islands which would be impossible for you to experience in a short trip but is well worth every moment if you can make it happen. Prepare yourselves for becoming undeniably more tanned, the amazing cocktails and the shimmering blue water that surrounds the relaxed palms of Fiji and try to bring yourself to leave. Most people just can't leave paradise voluntarily.

Things to Do and Places to Visit:

Diving: Fiji is a diver's heaven with the world's best underwater experiences to be had. Try and dive on a clear blue sky day and you will see things that you cannot see anywhere else in the world. With the diverse coral reefs just metres from the shore it is not hard to explore the oceanic depths with a snorkel and some flippers. If you are really keen on diving, catch a local boat out to the further reefs and try your luck there searching for the bigger and better fish that live there with a local guide to show you the most pristine locations.

Lastly, the value for money is near perfect with an exceptional menu that caters for every visitor you will be sure to find something you will love on it.

Food to Try:

Coconut milk is added after it is "cooked" together with finely diced tomatoes, chillies and salt. It is left in the fridge for an hour or two then served as an entrée.

Things to Look out For:

Expensive Outer Reef Essentials: When you travel to the outer islands or leave for any reason off one of the major islands you will find that prices escalate very quickly for common goods like food and water. Whilst this may not be a problem for some, it is important to note that you should be prepared before leaving the main islands or come prepared with some extra funds to cover the higher price-tags.

Sea Snakes: In particular the Black-banded sea snake can be found in Fiji and are an animal to watch out for. They are a deadly species that have been known to bite but are often very passive so just be mindful when you are off exploring the islands of Fiji.

Tokyo-A Ultramodern MegaCity

Tokyo

Introduction:
Unless you've been living under a rock for the past decade and a half, you've most likely heard of Tokyo and how amazing it is ! Tokyo is the capital of Japan and is the most populous city in the world-with a population of above 35 million people. In 2020, Tokyo will also have the honour of hosting the Olympic Games.

Things to Do and Places to Visit:
Mt Fuji: Mt Fuji-Japan's No. 1 Volcano has been laying dormant for the past few centuries but is still classified as an active volcano. One simply must visit this breathtaking site as it something that cannot be missed. The team here at Quick-Trek would definitely recommend the trek to the summit of this snow-capped peak as the views are to die for. The bullet train ( Shinkansen) will also allow you to experience the beauty of Mt.Fuji from a distance-which would be something those not willing to trek to the summit of Mt. Fuji should seriously consider.

Mt Fuji.

Visitors can ascend to either the main observatory or the special observatory to get a special bird's eye view of Tokyo. Remember to bring a jacket as it gets chilly on both the observatories.

Places to Eat and What to Try:
Tsukiji Outer Market: The outer market is surely a pilgrimage anyone with interest in Japanese cuisine of food culture should make. The food options over here are also very affordable which is a bonus. Visit this place if you want to truly experience authentic Japanese food

Giac Lam Pagoda - Believed to be the oldest temple, it's atmospheric place set in a peaceful garden. The temple name meaning 'Feel the Woods' and the looming Bodhi tree was a gift from a Sri Lankan monk in 1953.

Giac Lam Pagoda

Place To Eat and What to Try:
Com Nieu Sai Gon - It's name "the one place visitors shouldn't miss!" It's truly diverse and cultural experience. You can experience the street food but in an amazing and exquisite location with stunning views. Would recommend ordering the com dap with nuoc mam and the seafood pan-fried noodles!

Food to Try:

Delhi-The city of a billion dreams

Delhi,India

Introduction:

The city of New Delhi is the capital of India and it is the most populous city in India with a staggering population of roughly 21 million people. Embedded in New Delhi (or "Delhi"as its also known as ) is a rich history which spans back centuries to roughly 3500 BC according to renowned historians and archaeologists.

Post India's economic boom in the mid-2000's Delhi has genuinely become a modern metropolis with a wide array of malls, hotels and industries opening up and taking off .If you are into history, culture and cuisine New Delhi is for you!!

Taj Mahal

Things to Do and Places to Visit:
Taj Mahal: Coming to Delhi and not journeying to Agra to visit the divine Taj Mahal may be almost borderline insulting ! The Taj Mahal is mausoleum constructed by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in honour of his favourite wife Mumtaz Mahal.
When visiting the Taj Mahal, make sure to bring your camera so you can take some truly remarkable pictures and also don't forget to bring a bottle of water-as temperatures in Agra regularly exceed 25 degrees even in winter.

Qutub Minar: The Qutub Minar is a UNESCO world heritage site, which automatically makes it something every tourist must consider visiting. The Qutub Minar was at one point in time during the 1300's considered to be the highest man-made structure in the world. The beauty of this tower lies not only in it's "towering height" or architecture but rather in its enduring ability. This tower has survived 2 lightning strikes during the 12th century and remarkably is still intact even today in the 21st century.

Qutub Minar

Place To Eat and What to Try:
Khan Chacha: If you visit Delhi, eating at Khan Chacha's is a must. The most brilliant Indian street food you could ever imagine is routinely served up here at prices that are almost "too cool to be true". One dish i personally recommend would be the succulent Shahi Kebab-its too good.
Nirulas: India's oldest fast-food restaurant chain. It's basically Indian Mcdonalds, everything is available here from: kebabs, curries, pizzas and even burgers. Visiting Nirulas at least once is something all tourists should aim to do.

Food to Try:
Kulfi: Kulfi is basically "Indian Ice-cream" except with a way more milky taste. It's unique and is almost exclusive to the north of India. You must taste it to experience the difference.
Kulfi

Things to Look out For:
Taxi-Drivers: Indian taxi-drivers are known for being relentless in their pursuit for a customer. If a taxi-driver approaches you please decline as it is in the best interest of your well-being. These taxi-drivers will scam you and deceive you by charging up to thrice the fare. It's best to use the Auto-Rickshaws or apps such as Uber and Ola to go around from place to place

Water Quality: Delhi is the most polluted city in the world (both air and land). Drinking water from taps is a strict no. Remember to carry packaged drinking water bottles at all times.

The Place to Stay:
Taj Palace: Although this hotel is a tad bit expensive, it's the best place to experience Delhi in all its luxurious glory. This 5 star hotel is within walking distance of bus stops and metro stations and is conveniently located near the Airport.

Airfare:
Flight to New Delhi from Sydney for one Adult as of 15th September is roughly: $1051. (zuji.com.au)

Overall Opinion:
If you visit India, you MUST travel to Delhi to experience its rich history and taste it drool-worthy food.  4/5 stars.

Rome - A City Trapped in Time

Rome, Italy

Introduction:

The historical city of Rome,is a must see for anyone with an eye for past civilizations and modern architecture. The former home of the powerful Roman empire this city is not one to miss. Take a walk along the old cobblestone walls and bridges created hundreds of years ago and take a step back in time into a new world. With all the food in the world, terrific people and the chance to witness some of mankind's greatest achievements it's no wonder many have Rome at the top of their bucket list.

The Colosseum, Rome

Things To Do and Places To Visit

Colosseum: How could you visit Rome and not see the infamous Colosseum? Perhaps the best-preserved of the monuments of ancient Rome this incredible marble structure can hold more than 50,000 spectators so make sure to bring lots of friends to fill it up.

Pantheon: A visually inspiring 2000-year-old temple is another stunning piece of Roman history preserved in all its glory. Today, the temple acts as church, where it is open for visitors to travel through its massive bronze doors and gaze up at one of the largest concrete domes ever built to this day. A truly unmissable, unique experience for any eager traveler.

Pantheon

Trevi Fountain: This creative water masterpiece features an ensemble of mythical figures and wild horses is not one to miss. The fountain now gleams brighter than it has for years after the restoration project made in 2015. For visitors the tradition is to toss a coin into the water supposedly ensuring that one day you will have the chance to return to Rome – on average about 3000 euros are thrown in every day.

Places To Eat:

La Pergola: A divine Italian cousine based restaurant located in a luxurious hotel with panoramic city views from the rooftop this restaurant is unmatched in a quality evening.
La Gatta Mangiona: How could you visit Italy and not taste the original pizza maker's creations? This is the place to go for those authentic Italian dishes we have all come to love. With a friendly vibe and relaxing atmosphere don't pass up the opportunity to visit this slice of heaven.

Food To Try:

Tagliatelle al ragu: long, flat ribbons of pasta served with a sauce of minced meat simmered with sofrito, milk, and a tiny amount of tomato, topped with Parmigiano cheese. There's nothing better to eat after a long day roaming the city streets of Italy.

Image result for Tagliatelle al ragu
Tagliatelle al ragu
Cheese: This is an experience unlike any other. Cheese is so simple yet so tasty so where do we even start? There are so many cheeses produced in Italy, some regionally specific, some widespread, all undoubtedly delicious. These are a few of the local favourites gorgonzola, mascapone, scamorza, and taleggio

Things to Avoid or Look Out For:

Time: When you are in Italy you may feel like you have all the time in the world, but this is so often just not the case. You may have scheduled a tour around the Colosseum at 1pm but haven't even entered the Colosseum until 2pm. This is a general rule whilst travelling to unfamiliar locations but so many forget to leave more than enough time to experience Italy at its finest.

Wearing Revealing Clothing: There are many ancient and highly religious places you may visit whilst in Rome and most will not let you into the more sacred areas wearing revealing clothing. It is best to not disrespect the local traditions by wearing longer sleeved tops and avoiding singlets or other more revealing clothing.

The Place to Stay:

Hotel Navona is the recommended place to stay with a wide selection of rooms available for all travellers with any budget and a nice location that is easily within walking distance of public transport and local cousines.

Airfare:

The flights from Sydney to Rome are around the $1500AUD mark for a return flight.

Overall Opinion:

With the countless attractions to explore and the divine, unique culture that Rome has to offer this destination is among the top places to visit in the world and a well deserving 4.5/5 stars.
